Traffic on Barcombe Mills Road will be disrupted for four days, starting on Monday 11th April. Carole Sneyd, Customer Service Manager at East Sussex Highways, said: 

‘We will be carrying out drainage to remove and replace existing concrete pipes on Barcombe Mills Road, Barcombe. Work will start on Monday 11 April and continue for four days. This date is subject to change. We will keep you updated with any changes via the signs on site and our website.

Barcombe Mills Road will be closed from A26 Uckfield Road to Barcombe Cross High Street, betwen 9am and 4pm each day. This is for your safety and the safety of our workers. Traffic will be diverted via A26, Isfield Road, Station Road, Buckham Hill, Shortbridge Road, A272, A275, Town Littleworth Road, Cooksbridge Road, High Street and vice versa. Traffic will be diverted to the most appropriate and similar category of road.

If you need vehicle access, please discuss this with the team on site to see if it is possible. We will always allow access for emergency vehicles. Pedestrian access will be maintained.

We apologise for any disruption to local buses. Check with your local bus company for any alterations.
